(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Redevelopment Commission (DCRC) is welcoming businesses and developers to submit proposals to develop a site on Randall Avenue in the US 50 Business Park near Aurora, Indiana.   A Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on November 17, 2023 by DCRC in regards to one parcel totaling approximately 1.077 acres in size on the west side of Randall Avenue off of U.S. Highway 50. The undeveloped lot zoned for light industrial or commercial use is located at the entrance of the US 50 Business Park. The site is within DCRC's West Aurora Tax Increment Finance District, allowing for creative incentives for a project.   The property recently appraised at $53,000, however, DCRC may consider selling the property below market value for projects bringing benefit to the area and creating a return on investment for Dearborn County. Proposals must be for the development of the properties as a light industrial use or commercial business. Developers must be willing to enter into an economic development agreement with DCRC regarding construction timelines, project investment, design, and employment.   Proposals are being accepted through Friday, March 1, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. and must include preliminary designs, quantities with detailed estimates, proof of financial security, and a portfolio of their past projects. Bidders must submit their proposals to Dearborn County Administrator Sue Hayden and One Dearborn Economic Development.   For additional information and requirements, the public and bidders may view the full DCRC RFP offering sheet for this property at www.dearborncounty.org or https://www.dearborncounty.org/egov/documents/1700244188_02942.pdf.
