(Burlington, Ky.) - A Burlington man is accused of threatening a woman with a knife.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies say the woman was walking Wednesday evening at Central Park and Arboretum on Camp Ernst Road in Union. That’s when she was allegedly approached by a man with a knife who threatened to kill her.
The woman ran into Camp Ernst Road and flagged down a driver, who called 911.
Police set up a perimeter and caught Derrick Clifton standing in a tree line. He met the woman’s description and had the knife on him.
Soon after the arrest, police found that the woman’s tires had been slashed.
Clifton, 38, is charged with Alcohol Intoxication, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Stalking 1st degree.
