(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - There was blood, sweat, tears, and a lot of mud in Saturday’s Mud-Stash obstacle course race at Perfect North Slopes. Close to 3,000 people took on the mud, climbing walls, and other obstacles. Officials at the ski area say that’s a new record for the event which includes a four- to five-mile course and a shorter 1 1/2 mile challenge. Check out photos from the event in the slide show below. Photos were taken by Eagle 99.3's Mike Perleberg and A.J. Walt of Waltz Photography. The first ever Bash Before the Stash took place at the Lawrenceburg Event Center on Friday. The fundraiser presented by Anytime Fitness raised about $15,000 for Safe Passage Inc. women’s shelter in Batesville. If you missed the muddy fun, Perfect North Slopes will host another Mud-Stash on September 12. RELATED STORIES: Bash Before The Stash Supports Local Women’s Shelter
