A semi tanker overturned at the intersection on Thursday.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Multiple agencies responded to a semi-tractor tanker accident on Thursday at the intersection of State Road 1 and Ridge Avenue.
According to Greendale Police, the operator of a 2005 International Semi tractor that was transporting fertilizer in the tanker trailer, sustained minor injuries from the accident and was treated at St. Elizabeth Dearborn.
The driver, identified as Michael Campbell, of Greenfield, Ohio, reported he was traveling north on Ridge Avenue and crossed the Homestead Bridge at State Road 1 and Ridge when his tanker shifted and overturned.
Campbell was issued a citation for disregarding the traffic control device at the intersection that prohibits semi tractor trailer traffic from turning right to travel across the bridge due to construction.
Traffic was limited for northbound travel on State Road 1 for approximately 4 1/2 hours.
The accident remains under investigation.
