(Greendale, Ind.) - The Home2 Suites by Hilton Lawrenceburg Greendale is open.
Local officials and community members gathered on Monday morning for a ribbon cutting event at the 88-suite hotel at Flossie Drive on Monday.
Maxwell Construction completed work on the new facility about two weeks ago, culminating a project that began approximately three years ago.
"This project had its challenges. If you came through here about eight months ago, you saw a huge pile of dirt next door because we had to excavate this site all the way down 25 feet and bring it back up to recompact the soil that was here, along with countless other challenges up until about two weeks ago when we officially opened," said Randy Maxwell.
Every accommodation is a suite with a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated living and work area, and flexible furnishings that adapt to a one-night stay or a multi-month relocation. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, heated indoor pool, outdoor fire pit and grill, event room, and fitness center.
General Manager Jeff Fisher says Home2 Suites is a great place to stay for a ski weekend at Perfect North Slopes, a trip to the Creation Museum, for church and sports groups who need a block of rooms to stay, workers on a long-term assignment, and for people visiting relatives.
The all-suite extended stay hotel is now accepting reservations at Hilton.com.
