(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Opening Knight Show Choir put on a tremendous performance on Saturday.
Opening Knight won the Small Mixed Grand Champion by placing 53 points higher than the 1st Runner Up at the Beavercreek Midwest Classic in Dayton, Ohio.
One judge remarked, "this is the best I have ever seen Opening Knight."
Abby Terrill was named the Outstanding Performer and Maddy Burress won Outstanding Female Soloist of the entire competition. The award winning Overtones had the highest band score in the division.
Opening Knight next competes in Anderson, Indiana this Saturday. They hope to continue a successful season and represent the Eagle Country 99.3 community and South Dearborn High School well, according to Director Justin Selmeyer.
