The program is entering its fifth year.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools is proud to continue its commitment to flexible and innovative learning through the Sunman-Dearborn Online Academy (SDOA).
Originally launched in 2020, SDOA has consistently delivered a high-quality online educational experience for students in grades 6 through 12.
Now entering its fifth year, the program provides students with the opportunity to complete their education in a fully online format while still enjoying access to the full array of opportunities available at Sunman-Dearborn schools, including fine arts, athletics, extracurricular clubs, and more.
SDOA also offers a hybrid option, allowing students to combine online coursework with on-campus experiences, ensuring maximum flexibility to meet diverse student needs.
“SDOA has grown into a valuable option for students who thrive in a flexible environment but still want to remain connected to our school community,” said Superintendent Andrew Jackson. “Whether they’re pursuing athletics, jobs, or personal interests, this model supports student success in and out of the classroom.”
Registration is now open for the 2025–2026 school year. To learn more, please visit: https://sdoa.us
