One Killed In Verona Motorcycle Crash

The crash happened Friday night on Verona Mudlick Road.

(Verona, Ky.) – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Boone County.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Verona Mudlick Road and Walt Ryan Way around 9:55 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say Everett E. Hatmaker II, 48, of Verona, was traveling westbound on Verona Mudlick Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, which left the roadway and collided with a fence.

Hatmaker was pronounced deceased at the scene. Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate. Deputies do not believe that alcohol or speed was a contributing factor to the accident.
