Ohio Valley River Cats 20th Annual Catfish Tournament Registration Underway

The two-day event takes place September 6-7 in Rising Sun.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Ohio Valley River Cats organization seeks participants for its 20th annual Two-Day Open Team Catfish Tournament on September 6-7, 2025, in downtown Rising Sun, Indiana.

A team tournament, the online registration fee is $160 per boat. Teams can consist of one, two or three adults. One person must be at least 18 years of age. All teams must fish from a boat by rod and reel. Interested participants can register and pay online at ohiovalleyrivercats.com.

As of April 8, 2025, over 75 teams have registered. Guaranteed prize money is $10,000 for First Place, with additional prize money to be announced.

Fishing hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 6, and 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on September 7. Hours may be adjusted for fog delays. The weigh-in is located near the City of Rising Sun boat ramp along Front Street. It’s free and open to the public.
