Ohio County Tourism Announces 2025 Marketing Grants

Not-for-profit organizations that generate tourism and overnight stays to Rising Sun/Ohio County are eligible to apply.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Ohio County Tourism, Inc. is pleased to announce that their 2025 Marketing Grant period is now open.

Not-for-profit organizations that generate tourism and overnight stays to Rising Sun/Ohio County are eligible to apply. The purpose of tourism marketing grants is to help defray costs for brochures, posters, advertising, signs, banners, etc. All events must be held in Rising Sun/Ohio County in 2025.

Grant applications are available at the Visitors Center on Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. E-mail requests for applications can be made through Kendal Miller, Ohio County Tourism Executive Director, at kendal@enjoyrisingsun.com. The Visitors Center is located at 217 N. High Street in Rising Sun.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Notification of grant awards will be made on or before February 28, 2025.

Past recipients of Ohio County Tourism marketing grants have included: The City of Rising Sun (Navy Bean Festival); Conductors of Indiana Train Club (Christmas Train Show); the Ohio County Historical Society (various events); the Ohio Valley River Cats (Catfish Tournament); Purdue Extension-Ohio County (various events); Red Wolf Sanctuary (brochures); Rising Sun Band Boosters (Car Show); Rising Sun Main Street (various events); and the Southeastern Indiana Veteran’s Museum (sign/brochures.)
