OCCF Awards Grants to Ohio Co. Public Library, Youth Development

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Ohio County Community Foundation has awarded a Community (Competitive) Grant to the Ohio County Public Library and the Ohio County Youth Development, Inc.

The Ohio County Public Library was awarded $5,000 to install a sanitary water bottle filling station in the library and to purchase promotional items. The grant was funded by the Ohio County Today & Tomorrow Fund.

Ohio County Youth Development, Inc. was awarded $5,000 to upgrade the electric in the large animal barn at the OC Fairgrounds, replace wheel barrel wheels and to purchase a sound system for Ohio County 4-H Fair. The grant was funded by the Oho County Today & Tomorrow Fund and the Dr. Art Jay Community Fund.

Community (Competitive) are awarded to non-profit organizations for projects and programs that benefit the residents of Ohio County. Applicant's may request up to a maximum of $5,000. Grants are awarded in the areas of Community Development, Education, Scholarships, Health, Human Services and Cultural Affairs.

Application deadlines for the year 2022 are April 15 (Grant Cycle I) and October 15 (Grant Cycle 11). Applications must be submitted online through the Ohio County Community Foundation website at occfrisingsun.com.
