(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Indiana WIC program is ready to show off its newly remodeled office in Lawrenceburg.
WIC serves pregnant women, postpartum women, infants and children up to age five. The program’s four offices in southeastern Indiana service about 2,000 clients each month.
With renovations completed in February, the Highpoint Health WIC Clinic in Lawrenceburg has a new store front, new nutrition and education rooms, and an improved reception area. An upgraded weight and measurement room and breastfeeding education room help ensure client privacy.
“The WIC clinics play an increasingly vital role in meeting the needs of our community. We as an organization have responded to the increased demand for services by renovating the Lawrenceburg branch of our program,” says Jayme Hartzler, the local WIC coordinator.
“At the Highpoint Health WIC program, we want our clients to feel important and worthy of a beautiful space to bring their family to. With these renovations, that is exactly what we have achieved. Our families work hard and deserve the best!”
Hours at the Highpoint Health WIC Clinic are Monday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Tuesday 9:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Those on Medicaid automatically qualify for WIC.
