(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Salt Fork Road in Dearborn County will be closed so that a rough patch of the road can be repaved.
A portion of Salt Fork Road suffered a slide which forced the road to be closed in February. The slip was repaired and the road was filled in with gravel due to a lack of available asphalt.
Tim Greive, Dearborn County Highway Superintendent, said Monday that a new asphalt layer will be paved on Tuesday, April 23. The work will require Salt Fork Road to be closed Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m. between State Road 1 and Jackson Ridge Road.
Motorists can use Georgetown Road to State Line Road as a detour.
