(Milan, Ind.) – A new superintendent of Milan Community Schools has been chosen.
On Thursday, the school board unanimously approved Patrick Murphy for the position.
Murphy currently serves as Milan Middle/Intermediate School principal. He will officially become superintendent of Milan Schools on July 1.
Current superintendent Jane Rogers is retiring at the end of the school year. She has served Milan Schools in various capacities for 20 years.
Rogers has been superintendent since 2017 when Paul Ketcham left Milan to become Batesville Community Schools’ new superintendent. A position he still holds.
