(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg will have the same mayor for the next four years, while new mayors take over in Aurora and Greendale.

Over 2,300 votes were cast in Dearborn County in Tuesday's Municipal General Election.

In Lawrenceburg, Mayor Kelly Mollaun was re-elected for a third term, receiving 516 votes (53%) to challenger Greg McAdams' 456 votes (47%).

"This one is bittersweet so to speak because I have promised my family this would be my last time to run for election, win or lose," said Mollaun. "I had a lot of people supporting me and I think it goes to show that negativity does not win elections, not in Lawrenceburg. People want to know what you're going to do, how you are doing it, and what you've done, and I think we have proven that.".

Mollaun continued by saying he couldn't have won re-election without the support of the voters and his family.

"The City of Lawrenceburg has been very good to me and my family," said Mollaun. "I so appreciate their support to let me have another four years to serve them and to be able to do the things we want to finish. I hope they realize that it is all about them and our merchants and things like that. I couldn't do this without the support of my family. I have a great family and I will never do anything to tarnish their name, and the next four years are gonna be good for the City of Lawrenceburg."

There will be one change on Lawrenceburg City Council. Dylan Liddle won the Council District 2 seat, receiving 109 votes to incumbent Justin Noppert's 73 votes.

Tony Abbott, Thomas Rowlett Sr, Lennie Fryman, and Brett Bondurant retain their seats on council, while Mark Fette remains Treasurer.

Joe Johns will continue as City Judge, running unopposed.

In Aurora, Patrick Schwing is the new mayor defeating incumbent Mark Drury and Melvin Kremer, Jr. Schwing won with 226 votes (44%) to Drury's 154 write-in votes (30%) and Kremer's 139 votes (27%).

Council seat winners in Aurora are Sherry Love, Jonne' Messer, Terry Hauhn, Pam Hartford, and Michelle Jarvis. Benny Turner was unopposed in the Treasurer race.

Greendale will also have a new mayor as Vince Karsteter received 672 votes. He was unopposed.

Council winners in Greendale are Ryan Goode, Richard Steuer Jr, David Hall, Kurt Mollaun, Michael McLaughlin, Brett "Mooch" Hamilton, and Erin Marqua.
