(Milan, Ind.) - A Milan couple who recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary is aiming to win the title of America's Favorite Couple.
Dave and Karen Simpkins are currently in 7th place in the Quarterfinals of the national competition run by Colossal.
The Simpkins met at a Valentines Day dance and have been together ever since. They recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with a trip to Alaska, a trip they couldn't afford when they first got married.
Both Dave and Karen will be retiring next year, and if they win the competition's $20,000 grand prize, they plan to purchase a camper to roam the country.
Every week, people vote online every 24 hours using a single free vote or they can choose to donate money to get more votes.
The money from the voting process goes toward Oceana and Los Angeles Food Bank.
