The project brings 60 jobs with average annual wages and benefits of around $75,000 per year.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Greendale Mayor Vince Karsteter is proud to announce that Germany-based BWF Envirotec, a leading global provider of all-in-one solutions for industrial filtration, plans to locate its new North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in the City of Greendale, Indiana.

“Greendale is committed to providing great economic opportunity for our citizens and BWF Envirotec will keep that momentum going. I look forward to seeing BWF join a great list of quality employers invested in Greendale’s future,” said Mayor Karsteter.

“BWF Envirotec took a strategic decision to continue our development in the U.S. at the new site in Greendale. Greendale offers perfect circumstances for our company to generate further growth,” said BWF Group managing partner Philipp von Waldenfels.

The Greendale Redevelopment Commission and BWF Envirotec have reached an agreement on commitments to the project, which brings 60 jobs with average annual wages and benefits of around $75,000 per year to the City. The project will mark an approximately $9 million investment in the City, with BWF expecting to complete construction of a 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility on Minger Drive by February 2027.

Based on the company’s job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation committed an investment in BWF of up to $300,000 in the form of incentive-based tax credits. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once Hoosiers are hired and investments are made.

CrossPoint – Commercial Real Estate of Covington, Kentucky, exclusively represented BWF in the relocation of their North American Headquarters to Greendale. CrossPoint facilitated the move by assembling a tailored economic development incentive package in collaboration with One Dearborn Economic Development and successfully secured a site aligned with BWF’s operational needs.

A fifth generation, family-owned company founded in 1892, BWF Envirotec is a division of BWF Group of Offingen, Germany. BWF Group has 1,800 employees at 16 sites across four continents.

“BWF first established a presence in the Tri-State area in 1989, and this new facility marks the next chapter in our long-standing commitment to the people and communities of this region,” said David Cooper, President of BWF America. “We’re especially grateful to the City of Greendale, the Greendale Redevelopment Commission, CrossPoint, One Dearborn, and Indiana Economic Development Corporation for their dedication and hard work in making our move to this outstanding new location in Greendale, Indiana a reality.”

This foreign direct investment project is believed to make BWF’s planned Greendale facility the only North American headquarters of an internationally operating company present today in Dearborn County, Indiana. The Greendale Redevelopment Commission led by City Councilman Mike McLaughlin helped to secure this major investment in the city.

“There is great German heritage in our city and region, which makes BWF’s location decision that much more exciting. With this partnership, the redevelopment commission and City look forward to exploring and strengthening economic ties between Greendale and Germany,” said McLaughlin.
