Madison Police Investigating Homicide

(Madison, Ind.) - The Madison Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred early Friday morning in the Presidential neighborhood.

Officers responded to a call shortly before 2:30 a.m. and located one deceased individual at the scene.

A suspect has been taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.

Chief Shawn Scudder addressed the incident, stating:

"This is a tragic event for our community, and our hearts are with the victim’s family and loved ones. Thanks to the swift and coordinated work of our officers and investigators, we were able to quickly apprehend the suspect. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served."
