Madison Man Arrested on Reckless Driving Charges Following Complaints from Citizens

The arrest was made early Friday morning.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - A reckless driving arrest was made Friday following complaints from concerned citizens. 

Justin Mahoney, 34, of Madison, was taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of Reckless Driving. He was allegedly found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, for an additional misdemeanor charge. 

Indiana State Police were patrolling State Road 129 between Cross Plains and Versailles after receiving multiple complaints of a driver repeatedly driving dangerously through the area in the early morning hours. 

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., a Trooper located Mahoney traveling northbound on State Road 129 through Olean allegedly traveling more than 40 MPH over the posted speed limit. 

Mahoney was taken into custody during a traffic stop without incident.
