The lunch and learn session takes place on Thursday.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Lunch and Learn opportunity will be held next week at Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg’s Riverfront Campus.
The Community Action Poverty Simulation will take place on Thursday, April 18 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM in Rooms 444, 445 and 446.
This Poverty Simulation will provide attendees with the opportunity to assume the role of a low-income family member living on a limited budget – then making critical decisions to provide for your family over the course of one month.
You might play the role of a single mother who works long hours to provide for her children, a teenager who is responsible for younger siblings, or a grandparent who cares for the children of their incarcerated children.
Each family must work together to have food, shelter, and utilities.
The simulation also includes a debriefing session to help process the experience.
