Life Without Parole Filed on Man Accused of Murdering Ex-Girlfriend's New Boyfriend

(Dearborn County, ind.) - Today, Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens filed a Notice of lntent to seek Life Imprisonment without Parole against Brent Wellman for the death of Dennis Adams Jr.

Adams was killed in an incident in Dillsboro on August 14.

An autopsy performed at the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office and Crime Lab revealed that Adams Jr. died from injuries sustained from receiving multiple gunshot wounds.

Wellman, 33, of Seymour, has been charged with Murder, Resisting Law Enforcement (Use of Vehicle) as well as a Felony Firearm Enhancement. 

He is being held without bond at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. 

An initial hearing on this enhancement will be held in Dearborn Circuit Court.
