The award was presented on Saturday at Lawrenceburg Fall Music Fest.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Each year at Lawrenceburg Fall Music Fest, the City of Lawrenceburg names their Citizen of the Year.

On Saturday, Lawrenceburg Fire Chief Johnnie Tremain received the prestigious honor on the Civic Park stage.

Tremain has dedicated 39 years to serving the community as a member of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department, following in the footsteps of his father.

He first stepped foot into the firehouse at the age of four. In 1988, Tremain became a certified firefighter and has been serving ever since.

Over his career, Tremain has served in various roles, including being the first-ever full-time Fire Chief for the City of Lawrenceburg.
