Cutter will be hired as the new girls varsity head coach at Wapahani High School near Muncie, according to the Muncie Star Press. The school board there is expected to officially approve his hiring on Tuesday. Cutter has been an assistant for the Tigers under head coach John Blackwell for the past two seasons. Before that, he had held a number of coaching positions with the South Dearborn boys basketball programs. Cutter will inherit a solid Wapahani’s girls varsity squad that was 14-8 last season, but in 2015-2016 they return a majority of their roster – including 98 percent of their scoring – along with a strong freshman class. Cutter said he was very appreciative of the Lawrenceburg basketball program and the Lawrenceburg community. “Coach Blackwell and the entire coaching staff has been very helpful and supportive of me the last two seasons, and has been very instrumental in helping me reach this goal of becoming a head coach. I wish the Lawrenceburg basketball program nothing but success, and I look forward to following the progress of the program”, said Cutter.
