(Kenton County, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces lane and ramp closures on Interstate 275 near KY 1303 (Turkeyfoot Road) as crews perform steel repairs to the bridge overpass. This work is scheduled to begin Friday, July 7 at 9:00 p.m.

The right lane on I-275 eastbound near Turkeyfoot Road between mile points 82 and 82.39 will be closed. The left two lanes of I-275 eastbound in the project area will remain open. In addition, the on-ramp from U.S. 25 (Dixie Highway) to I-275 eastbound will be closed as crews make repairs. The listed lane and ramp closures will be in place throughout the entirety of the project. Work is expected to be completed by Monday, July 10 at 6:00 a.m.

The on/off ramps from I-275 to Turkeyfoot Road will remain open throughout the entirety of the project. All lanes on Turkeyfoot Road will remain open.

Please pay attention, and drive slowly near the work zone. Overhead and ground message boards will be in place on I-275 eastbound and I-71/75 northbound to warn motorists of the upcoming road work. Motorists should expect delays during peak travel times, and are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

This project is the final of three projects on the I-71/75 and I-275 corridor in Kenton County over the past two months. The first, a bridge deck overlay project on the I-275 eastbound bridge over Dixie Highway, was completed Thursday, May 25. The second project, another bridge overlay on the bridge from I-71/75 northbound to I-275, was finished Monday, June 26.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
