Kentucky State Police Make Arrest in Sexual Assault Investigation

(Carroll County, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police have arrested a Worthville man accused of rape.

Melvin Davis, 66, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with one count of Rape (3rd Degree) and one count of Sodomy (3rd Degree).

The arrest comes after KSP received a complaint from the Cabinet of Health and Family Services in reference to a sexual assault.

The alleged victim was reported to be a 16-year-old female.

Davis is lodged in Carroll County Detention Center.

No other information has been provided at this time.
