Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal House Fire

The cause of the fire not been determined; however, no foul is suspected. 

(Ghent, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police Post 5 Detectives are conducting an investigation after a fatal house fire in Carroll County this past weekend. 

On Saturday, July 4, just after 3:00 p.m., Post 5 officers were made aware of a house fire on the 200 block of Fishing Lane in Ghent. Once extinguished, a deceased female was found, later identified as Constance Beal, 45. 

A second individual, Peggy O'Neil, 74, suffered injuries from the incident and was taken to an area hospital via helicopter with non-life threatening injuries. 

Jerry Beckham, 54, was also in the home when the fire broke out, but was able to escape without injury.

The cause of the fire not been determined; however, no foul is suspected. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
