(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Ohio County Tourism, Inc. (OCT) Executive Director, Kendal Miller, was elected to serve on the Indiana State Festival Association (ISFA) Board of Directors.

The board consists of 25 individuals representing festivals or festival-related businesses across the state.

ISFA is Indiana’s largest festival and events membership organization. It publishes the annual Indiana Festival Guide, featuring nearly 600 festival listings. Festival and event members receive promotion, leadership and education opportunities.

Seeking to empower young women in the State of Indiana, ISFA also hosts the annual Indiana State Festivals Association Pageant.

With the support of the OCT Board of Directors, Miller was interviewed and appointed to the ISFA board during their April 12, 2025, meeting in Lebanon, Indiana. She will be representing the Rising Sun Summer Fest, produced by her tourism organization.

Miller has helped produce events for OCT since joining the organization in April 2016. With the assistance of the tourism board of directors and volunteers, the organization has generated the Rising Sun Summer Fest; the Rising Sun Stars & Stripes Celebration; Friday Fun in Rising Sun; A Merry Little Christmas Celebration and many more.

Through past endeavors, Miller has produced or assisted with events at the Southeastern Indiana Recycling District in Madison, Indiana, and in Panama City, Florida, with Goodwill Industries-Big Bend, the Visitors Arts Center of Northwest Florida; the Greater Downtown Association; and the Junior Museum of Bay County.

“I’m looking forward to learning more about fair and festival coordination, and especially the knowledge acquired from my fellow board members through their vast experiences,” said Miller.
