(Fairfield, Oh.) - Funeral services are set for Katelyn Markham.
The Fairfield, Ohio woman’s skeletal remains were discovered in Cedar Grove in April. Markham had been missing from her home since 2011.
Last week, the Franklin County Coroner determined that Markham was the victim of a homicide, although the method in which she was killed could not be determined. Those remains were then returned to Markham’s family for burial.
Markham’s father says a public memorial service will be held Sunday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m. at Fairfield High School.
Donations can go to the Katelyn Markham Benefit Fund or the Ohio Chapter of Texas Equusearch, the organization which assisted in the search for Markham following her August 2011 disappearance.
Fairfield Police and Indiana State Police continue a joint investigation into Markham’s murder. Anybody with information is urged to call Cincinnati Crimestoppers at (513) 352-3040.
