Proceeds will benefit North Dearborn Community Park.

(Bright, Ind.) – The Jack’s Forever 3 Foundation invites community members to come together on Saturday, September 7 for the 13th annual “Still Running” 5K Run/Walk.

The race will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Bright Christian Church. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m.

The event honors the memory of Jack Allan Carpenter, who tragically lost his life 14 years ago to a distracted driver.

Cost is to participate in the 5K is $20. Non-runners and walkers can still support the event with the $10 sleep-in option.

Proceeds from the race will benefit North Dearborn Community Park, continuing the Jack’s Forever 3 Foundation’s mission of giving back to the community. In the past, the foundation has funded a driving simulator to combat distracted driving and donated playground equipment to local schools. The foundation is also a big supporter of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana.

“We thank each and every one of you for your love and support. We would not be here today without all of you. Our community has been a true blessing, and everyone's generosity is greatly appreciated,” reads a statement from the Carpenter family.
