(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Ivy Tech Community College is pleased to offer the Summer Exploration Scholarship for the third year in a row! Students who attend public/private high schools within Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley, and Franklin Counties, as well as students who attend Taylor High School (Cleves, OH), Harrison High School (Harrison, OH), Oak Hills High School (Cincinnati, OH), and homeschooled students are eligible to apply.
Summer Exploration Scholarship
This scholarship provides current high school students the opportunity to learn and explore courses that fit their interest. The Summer Exploration Scholarship covers the following:
- Each student is eligible for the coverage of one 1 - 4 credit hour virtual course.
- The scholarship does not cover textbooks, Inclusive Access, or consumable fees.
What are the Scholarship Requirements?
This scholarship is available to current high school freshman, sophomore, and junior students. Graduating high school seniors are not eligible for this opportunity.
- Students must meet Ivy Tech prerequisites for the course they desire to register for.
- If a student needs to take the free Knowledge Assessment, in order to meet the prerequisites for the course, they must schedule and complete the Knowledge Assessment by May 22, 2020.
- Courses must be offered at the Lawrenceburg or Batesville Campuses in a virtual learning environment.
- Students must attend a mandatory virtual orientation before the start of the summer semester.
Limited Summer Exploration Scholarships are available for each high school, which will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Summer classes begin the week of June 8, 2020 and will end August 1, 2020.
The deadline to submit the Summer Exploration Scholarship is May 22, 2020.
