The Lakefront Campus opened in 1999 at 500 Industrial Drive in Lawrenceburg as a new facility to integrate with the local advanced manufacturing industry, provide training for the area workforce, and give students a pathway to manufacturing careers.

Over the years, Ivy Tech’s academic offerings at the campus expanded beyond advanced manufacturing to include programs in Information Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Commercial Driver’s License training. In 2016, Ivy Tech strengthened its commitment to advanced manufacturing education with the 12,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Center addition to the Lakefront Campus.

Ivy Tech now offers more than a dozen academic programs at the Lakefront Campus, including Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology, Design Technology, Industrial Technology (Electrical & Mechanical), Machine Tool Technology, Smart Manufacturing, Welding, Computer Science, Cloud Technologies, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Informatics, Information Technology Support, Software Development, Pharmacy Technician, and Commercial Driver’s License Training.

“The Lakefront Campus has a strong heritage of serving our area counties,” Graver said. “We are excited to celebrate its history, and we look forward to continuing to provide affordable, accessible education for all students.”
