ISP Versailles Post Investigates Fatal Crash In Decatur County

(Greensburg, Ind.) – A Greensburg man was killed in single vehicle accident on Thursday evening.

Indiana State Police – Versailles Post investigated the accident on County Road 850 East, just south of County Road 400 North around 6:30.

The initial investigation indicated that Gregory S. King, 69, was operating a 1987 Ford Dump Truck, when for an unknown reason, King’s vehicle ran off the roadway, returned to the roadway, and overturned.

As result of the crash, the dump truck caught fire.

King sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Decatur County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
