ISP SWAT Assists with Arrest in Ohio County

The arrest stems from a battery investigation that started last week.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Thomas B. Cannon.

On Thursday, September 11, the Sheriff’s Office began to investigate a complaint of a serious battery that occurred at a residence on the western side of the county off Aberdeen Road.

A search warrant and arrest warrant was issued on Sunday with Indiana State Police SWAT assisting.

“Subsequently, the warrants were executed with caution at the accused residence having numerous outbuildings and homes. Fortunately, the warrants were executed without incident, and the accused complied,” reads a statement from the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.

Cannon, 55, of Benington, is charged with Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
