Investigation Underway After Handmade Bomb Detonates in Cleves

(Cleves, Oh.) - Miami Township Fire Department responded to a report of a loud explosion on Saturday morning. 

Smoke and odor were detected in the 5000 block of East Miami River Road around 8:39 a.m.

After investigation, a handmade explosive device that had detonated was located in a wooded area. 

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is further investigating the incident in conjunction with the FBI. The investigation scene remains active, and residents should avoid the area. 

No injuries were reported.
