INDOT: State Road 46 Bridge Project Will Run Into Fall

INDOT provided an update on where the project currently stands.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Progress is being made on the State Road 46 bridge project over the Whitewater River. 

According to INDOT Southeast, steel rehabilitation, painting, and bridge deck replacements have been completed on the first two spans of the historic truss bridge. 

These operations will be repeated for the remaining three spans with overall project completion anticipated this fall. 

The project started in June of 2025.
