This law is to help prevent crashes

On July 1, IN's Move Over Law was amended. The law now requires all motorists to move over or slow down when approaching a disabled vehicle (with flashing hazard lights). If unable to safely move over, drivers should reduce speed to least 10 mph below the posted speed limit.
