Highpoint Health Medicine & Physical Therapy Office Opens In Vevay

Individuals from throughout Switzerland, Gallatin and several surrounding counties turned out for a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

A ribbon cutting ceremony and community open house were held to celebrate the opening of Highpoint Health’s new Vevay Family Medicine and Vevay Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine facility at 1035 W. Main Street. Highpoint Health personnel taking part in the event were (left to right) Andrea Shackleford, CMA, AAMA; Tom Fuller, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Practice Officer; Michael W. (Vevay, Ind.) - Individuals from throughout Switzerland, Gallatin and several surrounding counties turned out to welcome Family Medicine Physician Melissa Mefford, M.D.; Nurse Practitioner Sheri Roberts, NP-C; Physical Therapist Tammy Gray, MPT; Physical Therapist Assistant/Athletic Trainer Jennifer Bostic, PTA, LAT/ATC, and their respective staff members to their new full time offices in Vevay.

Located at 1035 W. Main Street, Vevay Family Medicine and Vevay Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine hosted the Open House for the public. The celebratory event began with a ribbon cutting, followed by an Open House which featured tours of the new facility and light refreshments.

“It was great fun seeing so many familiar faces and meeting potential new patients,” noted Dr. Mefford, a Switzerland County native. “Everything is working out so well. We have a beautiful new office, terrific office staff and the support we have received from the community is just phenomenal.

“Nurse Practitioner Sheri Roberts has done a tremendous job of caring for Switzerland and Ohio County residents over the past few years, so it is a great pleasure to team up with her at Vevay Family Medicine,” Dr. Mefford added. “Our staff, comprised of Patty McKinley, Office Leader; Andrea Shackleford, CMA, AAMA; and Lori Sparks, Front Office Assistant, do an excellent job in making sure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Their sincere concern for our patients’ well-being is evident in everything they do.

“In addition, we are extremely lucky to be adjacent to Vevay Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine with Physical Therapist Tammy Gray, Physical Therapist Assistant/Athletic Trainer Jennifer Bostic and Physical Therapy Registrar/Aide Susan Darling,” she continued. “They offer a comprehensive array of preventive and rehabilitative services for those of all activity levels including children, high-level athletes and geriatric patients.”
