Dearwester and her teammates were recognized for that past accomplishments, which includes two state championships and a recent state runner-up finish. Dearwester received special recognition for winning her fourth consecutive state championship.
She was the OHSAA State Champion at 105 lbs. earlier this month.
“Chloe has dedicated her life to wrestling by not only improving wrestling within the school but wrestling for young ladies across the entire state of Ohio, which has encouraged other states around them to take up those efforts as well,” said Mayor Grubbs.
Dearwester finished her exceptional high school wrestling career with 155 career wins.
She will wrestle collegiately at Presbyterian College.
