The GMS board intends to bring more events to Greendale.

(Greendale, Ind.) – Greendale Main Street is now official.
Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs recently announced 11 organizations have been designated as recognized Indiana Main Street programs.
The Indiana Main Street program encourages community-driven revitalization of downtown areas in Hoosier cities and towns.
“So much hard work has been done to get us to this point and it’s only the start. Our board is ready to get started and provide Greendale residents with more events, more assistance, and have more community involvement for all residents,” a Greendale Main Street Facebook post reads.
The 11 new Main Street programs will be provided a formal certificate, access to Main Street America and Indiana Main Street trainings, networking opportunities with other regional and statewide programs, and a resource toolbox unique to their needs.
