(Hamilton County, Oh.) - Great Parks is lighting up the night at special Spark in the Dark evening events, celebrating all the incredible activities that happen in the natural world after the sun sets.

Spark in the Dark comes to Miami Whitewater Forest from 8-11 p.m. on the weekends of May 23-24, and July 25-26.

Highlighting Spark in the Dark are the special glow boats, decorated with colorful LED lights and shimmering across the lake at dusk to create a beautiful scene. The boats will be available to rent at the Miami Whitewater Forest Boathouse on a first come first served basis.

Guests can enjoy a night hike under the moon and stars (small fee applies). The Cincinnati Astronomical Society will join the fun to explain mysteries from space, while looking up at the stars in the evening sky.

Whether under the sun or the moon, there is much to explore at Miami Whitewater Forest. As the largest of Great Parks’ destinations, the park offers the 85-acre Miami Whitewater Forest Lake with its boathouse and harbor, over 10 miles of trails, a campground, golf course, soccer fields, the Simmonds Family Dog Park and the Shaker Trace Nursery.

The event’s sponsors include lighting partner Brightz and craft brews partner Hearth Brewing.

A Motor Vehicle Permit is required for all vehicles entering Miami Whitewater Forest.
