(Milan, Ind.) – A golf scramble fundraiser is being put together to support the family of Jon Spurlock.

The 22-year-old Ripley County native was tragically shot in the head while visiting his girlfriend on the west side of Indianapolis on April 15.

Spurlock remains unresponsive and listed in critical condition at an Indianapolis area hospital.

To aid his family with overwhelming medical expenses, an 18-hole golf scramble has been organized for Sunday, June 3 at Hoosier Links Golf Club in Milan. Tee-off is scheduled for 8:00 a.m.

Pre-registration is available at Hoosier Links Pro Shop for $200 per team. Cost increases to $240 per team after June 1. Registration includes green fees, cart and food at Hog Rock following the scramble.

For non-golfers, Hog Rock will be asking for $10 free will donations beginning at noon on June 3. With donation, patrons can enjoy food, live music and a cornhole tournament.

#JonStrong t-shirts and bracelets will also be available for purchase.
