Free Wi-Fi Coming to Greendale City Parks, Ribbon Cutting Set for Tuesday

The ribbon cutting is open to the public.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Free Wi-Fi hot spots are coming soon to the City of Greendale.

The City of Greendale has partnered with altafiber to realize a "Smart City" vision and bring free public Wi-Fi to most Greendale city parks.

A special ribbon cutting for "Free Wi-Fi in the Parks" has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the shelter behind the Greendale Cabin.

City leaders say the free Wi-Fi will allow residents to work, study, and play online at many Greendale parks.

The community will be able to log on at connected parks by connecting to “CityofGreendaleFreeWifi.”
