Franklin Co. School Buses Exits Roadway, No Injuries Reported

No injuries were reported.

(Brookville, Ind.) - First responders were called to a school bus accident this morning in Franklin County. 

According to the Franklin County Community School Corporation, one of their buses overshot a curve on State Road 229 this morning and came to a stop safely in a nearby cornfield. 

All students aboard the bus and the driver have been marked safe and are being transferred to another bus to continue their route to school. 

State Road 229 had to be temporarily closed at Whistle Creek, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. The roadway has since reopened.
