Franklin Co. HS Principal Steps Down, Will Remain on Staff as Teacher

The decision is effective June 30.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Michelle South has made the decision to step down from her role as Principal of Franklin County High School. 

Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, South will continue serving FCCSC as a Social Studies teacher at Franklin County High School. 

"Ms. South has dedicated significant time and energy to serving the students, staff, and families of Franklin County High School. We appreciate her service and her continued commitment to FCCSC," reads a statement from the Franklin County Community School Corporation. 

The Franklin County Community School Corporation is in the process of identifying the next principal of Franklin County High School.
