UPDATE: One Killed In SR 128 Crash North Of Miamitown

Update published at 4:15 p.m.:

An 18-year-old has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash in Whitewater Township.

Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neal says the crash happened on the 8900 block of State Route 128 around 11:26 a.m. Tuesday.

Austin Bruner, 18, of Eldorado, Ohio was traveling northbound on S.R. 128 and negotiating a turn when his pickup truck crossed the center and struck tractor semi-trailer head-on.

Bruner was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the semi-trailer, Richard Reilmann, 43, of Sunman, Indiana was transported to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to have contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

State Route 128 remains closed between Mt. Hope Road and Harrison Avenue. Motorists should avoid the area until further notice.

(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - A fatal crash has closed State Route 128 near Miamitown.

The wreck occurred on 128 near Mount Hope Road in Crosby Township at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, according to dispatchers.

The highway is closed. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
