(Salem, Ind.) - Congresswoman Erin Houchin has filed for re-election to represent Indiana’s Ninth Congressional District.

About her decision to seek re-election, Houchin said, “Our work is not finished. Since taking office, my team has helped return nearly $15 million to constituents across Indiana’s Ninth District through community project funding and constituent casework, making sure families, veterans, seniors, and small businesses get the help they deserve.”

In addition to continuing to take care of the district, Houchin said the upcoming election will determine the direction of Congress and whether lawmakers enact policies that move the country forward.

She continued, “Under Republican leadership, the House has delivered tax relief for working families, reasserted public safety, protected women and girls’ sports, rolled back federal overreach, and imposed fiscal discipline. But we have been digging out from under years of reckless spending, a wide-open border, and out-of-control inflation under Democratic control. House Republicans have been restoring sanity, and we want to keep putting the American people first.”

Houchin said these priorities resonate in southern Indiana, where people want affordable living, safe communities, and a government that stays out of the way.

The next Congress will determine whether the America First agenda is written into law or dismantled by a Democratic Party increasingly hostile to what most Americans want for their country.

Houchin represents 18 counties across southern Indiana and brings the values of her district to Washington.

“As we approach America’s 250th birthday, this country faces a clear choice,” Houchin said. “We can continue restoring American strength and fighting for conservative principles, or we can surrender our future to radical policies that have already failed. I am committed to making sure America chooses freedom and prosperity for generations to come.”
