EC's Patton Leads Local Contingent On IFCA Region X All-Star Team

By Travis Thayer (Undated) - Six local high school football stars have been named to the 2016 Indiana Football Coaches Association Region X All-Stars. The East Central Trojans led the way with three selections. Quarterback Luke Patton and offensive tackle Jared Schwenk were named to the All-Star Offensive Team. Outside linebacker Hunter Armstrong was the Trojans lone defender selected to the All-Star Defensive Team. All three seniors played a pivotal role in getting the Trojans to the Class 4A State Championship game, where they fell to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 27-3. South Dearborn's senior defensive tackle Dylon Neff was selected to the defensive all-star team. His teammate, senior kicker Wyatt Schwing made the special teams all-stars. Batesville's senior Zach Mears was selected to the offensive all-star team as a fullback.
