The City of Lawrenceburg and DCF are providing a total of $100,000 in matching funds for the Double Your Donation campaign.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - For the 16th straight year, the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF), Inc. is offering an endowment matching campaign, called Double Your Donation. Contributions to new or existing endowment funds will be matched $1-for-$1 during the matching program.

“We are proud to be able to offer the Double Your Donation endowment matching campaign once again in 2023,” said Fred McCarter, DCF Executive Director. “Our hope is this unique opportunity will encourage more individuals, organizations, and businesses in our community to participate in philanthropy through endowment at the Foundation. What better way to involve more folks in philanthropy than by matching their contributions to endowments that support their favorite charitable cause or provide a scholarship to a student?”

The City of Lawrenceburg and DCF are providing a total of $100,000 in matching funds for the Double Your Donation endowment matching campaign in 2023. Beginning September 12, 2023, the Foundation will match contributions to new or existing endowments $1-for-$1 up to a maximum of $10,000 per donor. It’s important to note that contributions will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis as long as matching funds are available. Donations received at the Foundation office prior to October 4 are not eligible to be matched by this program.

DCF was established 25 years ago to provide a way for members of the community to realize their philanthropic goals. DCF, a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt public charity, helps donors’ dreams come true by safeguarding endowments for the community through contributions large and small. Grants awarded by the Dearborn Community Foundation support the needs and interests in Dearborn County in the fields of Art, Culture and Humanities, Community and Public Benefit, Education, Environment and Animal Protection, Human Services, Public Safety and Youth Programs.

In 2022, DCF was reaccredited with the nation’s highest standard for philanthropic excellence. The notice comes from the Community Foundations National Standards®, which establishes legal, ethical, and effective practices for community foundations everywhere. The Community Foundations National Standards® program requires community foundations to document their policies for donor services, investments, grantmaking and administration. With more than 500 community foundations already accredited nationwide, the program is designed to provide quality assurance to donors, as well as to their legal and financial advisors.
