A call was made on Tuesday afternoon regarding a tugboat in distress on the Ohio River.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Dearborn County Water Rescue and Lawrenceburg Fire were called to what has been deemed a "double false alarm" on Tuesday afternoon.
A tugboat in distress was reported on the Ohio River near Lesko Park in Aurora around 4:26 p.m.
The initial dispatch stated that a subject may have been in the water. The crew was able to verify everyone was safe, but another dispatch came through stating the boat was taking on water.
According to Dearborn County Water Rescue, a crew was on its way to the scene when the call was disregarded. While the incident did not end up being serious, community members are asked to not to hesitate to call Dispatch.
"If you see something, say something," said Dearborn County Water Rescue Captain Meghan Keith. "We would rather be called out and it be nothing than receive no call and it be something worse."
