Dearborn Co. Sheriff's Office Reports Paving Scam

The scammers are claiming to be with the Dearborn County Highway Department.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office has received a call that a company is going around claiming that they work for the Dearborn County Highway Department. 

The scammers are stating that they have left over asphalt and will give you a deal on your driveway. 

The call was reported from the Bright area. 

The Sheriff's Office says the highway department is not currently paving in that area, and they do not go door to door offering paving deals. 

If this happens to you, please contact the sheriff’s office at 812-537-3431 and get a description of the vehicle.
